Along with a number of negative effects, it leads to increasing share of carbon dioxide in the air, which provokes the global warming. To limit global warming to 2°C until 2020 CO2 reductions of 30% will be necessary.

According to the reviews, transports stands at the 3d place among the leading sources of CO2 pollution, almost half of which belongs to the cars. The trucks have 23% of transports share. As we can see, road transport holds 76% of CO2 emission of transports or 10.64% of total CO2 emission.
